But the rose has to be my favorite.
I love books. I use the library often. Reserving books online for pickup is the best! Most of my reading is non-fiction. Right now I am reading The Bread Lover's Bread Machine Cookbook by Beth Hensperger. And I'm just starting The Total Money Makeover by Dave Ramsey.Lisa Martinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09769191647503703855noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7867605736208083548.post-3864030716069010052008-07-09T11:26:00.000-07:002008-07-09T11:26:00.000-07:00Hello!I just found your blog via ABS. I thought "Friday Night Knitting Club" by Kate Jacobs was excellent...kinda wished it was about a beading club, then I could relate to all the terminology a little better. GREAT book that I would recommend. I also just finished Patti Callahan Henry's "The Art of Keeping Secrets"...a different style of novel with a few twists.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7867605736208083548.post-34591112427366539612008-07-09T09:00:00.000-07:002008-07-09T09:00:00.000-07:00Yay! I have "The Red Tent" somewhere in this house! I will have to look for it. The state my house is in, I probably have the other books mentioned and don't even know it! : )Gaeahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11549165682864974309noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7867605736208083548.post-1808341916769057712008-07-09T08:25:00.000-07:002008-07-09T08:25:00.000-07:00Gaea, Jitterbug perfume is one of my top ten books...Gaea, Jitterbug perfume is one of my top ten books and have read it so many times that Kudra,Alobar and Pan are like family, but not the beets!
I am a book reading fiend, I recently
finished Wuthering Heights, The way of all flesh, and now am on a fantasy kick, my son begged me to read his Warcraft Archive book and I loved it. Set in biblical times, it's the story of Jacob's only daughter, Dinah, and even if you're not into that whole thing, it's still a wonderful story. I force myself to put it down at night to prolong the pleasure for one more day. Highly recommend!
Anxious to read Eat, Pray, Love, too - heard lots of good things about it.
Thanks all for this great post!Libbyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01500507441229463699noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7867605736208083548.post-379314073117433572008-07-08T18:22:00.000-07:002008-07-08T18:22:00.000-07:00Right now I am deeply engrossed in The Inheritance...Right now I am deeply engrossed in The Inheritance of Loss by Kiran Desai.Jennifer Stumpfhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14754588652080363941noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7867605736208083548.post-38266610667188618102008-07-08T11:23:00.000-07:002008-07-08T11:23:00.000-07:00I am reading With Endless Sight by Allison Pittman...I am reading With Endless Sight by Allison Pittman! The latest in her Idiot Girl series.
I also hope to try to at least START the last Harry Potter book. I was unfamiliar with her but saw her books on a shelf at the library and started reading her Inspector Wexford series. She's been writing since the 1960's, and just published her latest book, so she's had a long writing history. I kept thinking, 'why haven't I heard of her before?' so I looked her up and she's well known, just not to me. So if you like psychology and mysteries, give her books a try.LLYYNN - Lynn Davishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11538418994323990630noreply@blogger.com
