She is turning 4! I can't believe how time is flying! It feels like we just brought her home from the hospital! Noli made this card for her birthday invitation and I just love it! Kid art is so pure and full of joy. I did very little direction with her on this. I asked what she wanted to have on her invitation and she said "People dancing around a cake Mama!" So I had her draw a pencil sketch. She even made corrections to her pencil drawing. After that I had her go over the pencil lines with a thin marker to make the lines standout. We then made a photo copy of the original so she could watercolor it. It would be pretty cool as a cake decoration but she is pretty determined to have a hello kitty cake!

Very cute! I would have to vote for the Hello Kitty cake, too...Just because I would love to have one for myself....Hey - I may be in my 30s, but I LOVE Hello Kitty :o)
I'm actually very excited about the hello kitty cake! Although I'm hoping they still offer the Ratatouille cake when it't my day!

That is brilliant! I love the color that she added and the thought to dance around a cake. It was my birthday yesterday and that spirit was alive (although I had creme brulee and I didn't dance, only in spirit!). Happy birthday Noli! Enjoy the day! Erin

awww! i love her invitation... do you guys read the 'francis' books? i had them when i was little (and i am 43)... there's a birthday one where invitations are made - it's sweet... hello kitty is precious - ratatouille makes my heart melt... (we have 2 rats because of that movie! not lying... and 5 cats and a dog... and 3 kids! a real menagerie)
