It was a nailbiter! Would the package make it? Wouldn't it? Then all of a sudden.... I had two packages of lovely bead soup! One from my lovely partner Evelyn Dewberry of ShebaMakeda who had some bad shipping luck and one from the ever devoted Lori Anderson, just in case. Since Evelyns beautiful handmade beads and pendant made it to me by the skin of their teeth, I feel it fitting to auction off the lovely set that Lori sent. It includes not one but TWO Green Girl Studios pendants, some amazing kyanite, fresh water pearls, and sticks as well as some other beauties! Please leave a comment with a bid amount if you would like to participate in this auction. I will also send an additional donation and you are welcome to just donate as well, just follow the link. The auction will end March 10th at noon. The proceeds will go to a the Brown family, who's mother Amara is fighting for her life. You can find out about her here... (Thank you Cathy for the link!)

Having a great idea and the time to do it do not always go hand in hand.
Some day this will have some beads too! I love what Evelyn sent! Thank you, Evelyn! Thank you, Lori for such a fantastic event!

I framed Evelyn's beautiful bead in copper and then realized that I would not have enough time to complete that idea. So....
On to plan B...
I thought it fitting to give her lovely goddess a head. A heart head!
I found these orange and gold beads at a local bead show (I think this may have been a first in the area!)Some day this will have some beads too! I love what Evelyn sent! Thank you, Evelyn! Thank you, Lori for such a fantastic event!

For being last minute, it came out beautiful. Very earthy, I love it.
Great job thinking outside the box and having a fast plan B! Love it when a plan comes together. Your necklace turned out lovely, G! Happy hopping today!
Sometimes Plan Bs work out for the best. I think that necklace turned out beautiful - I love that you gave the goddess bead a heart for a head. A case of we should think with our hearts? I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with the copper bezeled pendant.
terrific! and you handled the pressure like a champ... love the goddess form - and your soldered pendant...
Well you would never know it was a nail biter with these creations! Beautiful!
It's really beautiful! I love the fiery orange beads you paired with the goddess and I love love love that heart head!
Very nice! I like how you paired the goddess with those chunky beads and love that copper setting you made for the oval bead. Will look forward to seeing what you'll make with.
Greet necklace! Love those orange beads, the goddess torso is beautiful too! And I love the framed bead!!
Love the colour of this soup and what you did with it!
Lovely pieces and I love what you were doing with the pendant. Can't wait to see what becomes of that focal.
Beautiful necklace love the colors.
Therese
The heart for a head is perfect! And the metal work you did with the bead is beautiful, too!
I hope you'll join me again in the summer!
Your necklace turned out fabulous! Love it! Suzette
Your bead soup is so lovely! You made a great necklace. Love the heart head and those earthy orange stones!
I absolutely love that necklace, the orange!!!!!!! -- What a great idea to hang the goddess bead with the heart bead.. you can see her! Maybe you can just hang some silk from the copper pendant so you can wear it until you decide whether or not you want to put beads with it! I like it a lot!!!
Some of us do think with our hearts.
Great idea.
I love what you did with the goddess. Very earthy yet bright
So happy you received your bead soup just in time! I only constructed my soup this past Wednesday due to moving from SC to KS. So many things to slurp up time! But, you did justice to Evelyn's beautiful soup and I find your final results simply stunning. Congrats!
The necklace is wonderful - nobody will ever know, that's a last minute alternative! ;0) And it's never to late for your framed bead - it surely will be the beginning of a very unique and extraordinary design.
Great piece in such a limited amount of time and a very generous move auctioning off your other soup. I also love the pendant you created and hope that you'll post whatever you make with that too.
PS I'll start the bidding for the extra soup at $40. Let me know if you start a separate comment section for that.
I just love the 'off set' look, it works so well! ~KM
I love the goddess bead, you really accented it well. I love the offset idea, gives things a bit more visual interest. Gorgeous "soup"!
Love the copper frame that you made-it showcases the bead that Evelyn sent beautifully. The necklace is fantastic!
Sumptious colours! Love it... and fabulous metal work too :) x
Love the necklace - the colors are great! Love the goddess bead and that you gave it a head :)
I love the necklace you created! I would have never known you finished just in the final hours. You did a wonderful job with your ingredients.
Cheers!
Lori D.
Nice save! I'm so glad your soup arrived and with a spare to boot! I like where it looks like your piece is headed, I may have to check back in later to see how it finished!
I'm so happy your bead soup finally arrived! I love the necklace you made--the colors and textures are just gorgeous!
And I can't wait to see what you made with the copper-set lampwork bead!!!!
I am so glad you finally received your soup, and Lori was so thoughful as well!! That necklace turned out beautiful! I can't wait to see the finished Plan A, as that is looking awesome in its current state! Great job!!!
For a rush job, your results are just beautiful! Those orange beads really go well with the clasp and focal. . .what a lucky find!
And the pendant you created is really awesome. I hope you show it off once you get something made with it. I can't wait to see!
Oh lucky girl! I love Evelyn's goddesses! Your design is really beautiful and I love that you made that super awesome copper hammered bezel for one of her beads!
Plan B definitely worked - it is lovely! I am also looking forward to find out how does the bezel end up, it started amazing!
ok I like plan b ( and isn't it good to have more than 1 plan??) but I can't wait to see how you finish up plan A!!
Lovely pieces and I can't wait to see how the bezeled oval turns out!
Gorgeous necklace! I love the "head" you put on the goddess :)
