Catching the Light

I am so lucky to live in this lovely little town. It's the kind of place where you can bet your last dollar that if you are going to the market, you will run into at least 3 people you know. There is always a familiar and friendly face. One of those friendly and familiar faces is Sherry. She is a busy and vibrant person who is quick with a smile and a hug. The kind of person who doesn't judge you if on her daily hike she happens upon you sobbing in your car. Only kind and helpful words. Sherry makes you want to go the extra mile for her. Last month Sherry contacted me about some ideas she had for Christmas gifts. Several years ago, her father had shipped her a beautiful chandelier across the country. I am sure it must have cost a pretty penny just to ship it. Being a creative and whimsical soul, Sherry decided to share this lovely gift with her friends and family. With a tub full of chandelier crystals in hand, Sherry gave me the honor of creating one-of-a-kind pieces of jewelry. These crystals reminded her of her father and his affinity for the sun, as she called him, The Sun God. With a few notes of color and style, Sherry told me to go to town. So I did...

Great designs. I really like the first one because of the colors. So bright and happy.

Thank you, Shaiha and Kalei's Best Friend! The necklaces in the photo are sold but Sherry was so generous that she let me keep a few of the crystals. I am happy to re-create any of the designs. :)
