The thorny side of life

Even with their thorns, cactus grow amazing flowers. I have to remember that, when things look their thorniest, there may be a beautiful flower just around the bend.

Remind me to tell you about the day we ditched school and work and went to Disneyland...

Your photos are beautiful, I love the dramatic graphic qualities to them. Life is a bed of thorns sometimes but the flowers seem sweeter afterward, don't they?

I agree with Lynn, the photos are fantastic! I love cacti and succulents. I have a collection of them from my trips to the desert. Sadly, Paulo destroyed one. But the good thing is that they're sturdy. So who knows... maybe it'll come back after a kitten thrashing.

your photography is stunning - i love seeing the world through someone else's eyes... and i agree with your philosophy... without the contrast, you cannot appreciate the upside!
