Oh I have to say riding in the boat on the lakes in our area is my most favorite summer ritual. We go almost every weekend.

What darling sets of beads! When I was young our family took a summer vacation every year, traveling to nearly every state. Now we do the same with our own children and look forward to seeing this wonderful country.

I clicked the like button....thanks for the chance to win!

We don't really have any summer rituals or traditions. I do enjoy watching the hummingbirds guard the feeder in the back yard & wearing flipflops!!

My favorite summer ritual is staying inside with a/c! Summer, I am afraid, is my LEAST favorite season!

Heading north and relaxing and fishing on our pontoon boat!

These beads are amazing- I would love to win a set!

My annual family vacation in the Adirondack mountains! Each July we rent the same cabin, have a family dinner cruise on the W.W. Durrant on Raquette Lake, hike around Cascade Lake...these rituals/traditons are things we look forward to all year long. I also look forward to the inspiration that the Adirondacks bring to my jewelry designs!

We dont have a tradition unless you call working in the yard, especially the back yard. We have been working on putting in 3 terracing walls on the hill in our back yard and bricking in most of the ground below. We should be finished this year, hopefully to have a nice shady area for friends to come by sit & relax some. :-)

Every year, the first weekend of June (sometimes the 2nd), we go to Asheville, NC to help celebrate my mother-in-law's birthday. My mother-in-law is a lovely lady in her early-90s. We celebrate her birthday each year by getting the family together to prepare and enjoy a dinner with cuisine from a country where MaMa has visited. My immediate family usually plans the menu and cooking, while other relatives gather memorabilia from past travels and decorate the dining room appropriately. These European dinner parties make MaMa very happy. We have done Spain, Switzerland,& Denmark, for examples, and this year we will make Russian food!

I usually take the kiddo to the zoo every Friday during the summer. Here's hoping for a moderate summer!

Ha! Since we moved to the beach, it's trying hard not to get sunburned! (I have very fair skin) so far, I've not hit my goal. :) I love being able to just hop in the car and be at the beach in 10 minutes. My kids and I love to have "picnics" outside for our lunchtime. Thanks for such a great giveaway!

I always head to red rock country in southern UT for a family reunion in late July. Zion Ntl park is my fave!

I get a kick out of the Fourth of July parade the neighborhood kids put on.

Beautiful beads, as always!

I always look forward to sitting in the back yard with my hubby, with some beads and the dogs playing in their kiddie pool...very funny as they move garden rocks in and out of the pool and chase each other around :)

I liked twice... one before I realized I wasn't signed in, then once after I actually signed in.. then I was gobsmacked to see that I hadn't faved your shop yet.. so I did that too :)

I'm not a beach girl.. well.. not a summer 'crowded' bead girl, but I'll be looking forward to being stretched out on the cool grass in the shade, or sitting on the dock... or yard-saling on those rare Saturday mornings that I might have off :)

Going to Hilton Head, and our daily ritual of beach, pool, dinner. Always fun, very relaxing, and sad but happy to come home! Thank you for the chance to win your beautiful beads!

Our daughter usually comes home mid-June cuz our b'days are a week apart. We do a lot of day trips to our favourite haunts and just generally enjoy being together. And we do squeeze in a few days of beading, lol. Her things are amazing (graphic artist). That is the highlight of our summer. Wanted to go the Prince Edward Island this year, but think a new kitchen floor will trump that!! Hope to win some of your beautiful beads!

Hahaha! Summer? I'll be getting ready for the fall shows/trunk shows!!!! Too much to do without beginning WAY ahead. However, this summer will be extra special, as my only child is planning his WEDDING to a wonderful, wonderful girl (he consistently describes her as "the love of my life and the woman of my dreams"....all I care about is that she makes him peaceful and happy!)

We are blessed to live in the Colorado mountains - so summer always feels magical right in our backyard! Favorite rituals between late spring & summer always involve exploring the flower garden to see what survived winter! Putting up the feeders to welcome back the hummingbirds. Spending countless hours outside - whether it is working in the yard; hiking with the dogs or just hanging out in the hammocks. I hope that your summer is everything you hope for & thanks for the giveaway!!

I live in southern Az where the temps are already above 100 degrees, so our favorite summer ritual is to drive to San Diego and play at the beach, in the cool, beautiful water. mmmmmmmmm. We also like to go camping in the mountains and enjoy the cool night air. Thanks for the great giveaway.

In Italy as soon as the temperature rises we just can't wait to go to the beach, spending the whole day there with friends and family, playing games, eating (a lot!) and enjoying the water! Thanks for the giveaway!

Pretty pretty pretty - each and every set! Favorite summer activity - one that will be happening soon - sitting out in our newly landscaped front yard with a tall glass of fuzzy mint limeade, watching the neighborhood come alike at sunset.

My favorite summer ritual would have to be our family reunion. My hubby and I have 24 nieces and nephews, and 28 GREAT nieces and nephews. So wonderful to get together, have some fun, and see what incredible adults and parents the "kids" have turned into. :)

Well, it's heading into winter down here in Australia, but my favourite summer ritual is the sunday afternoon BBQ with friends and their kids, sitting watching the kids run around the back garden, drinking a glass of crisp white wine ... ah summer when will you be back.

I enjoy the long summer days playing outside with my children, helping them decorate the driveway with sidewalk chalk, playing games in the soft green grass, and celebrating the end of a wonderful day with a cool ice cream cone.

I like to spend time with my boys going on "adventures" - we enjoy going new places & trying new activities. Laughter us a big part of our summer, too!!

Swimming! Camping has been my newest adventure, but as long as I get lots of swimming in, I'm one happy girl!

I clicked like on your Etsy page.

Summer rituals ... oh there are so many :-).

Eating breakfast and other meals on the veranda or in our garden. Going to the nearby lake for a swim. The late night sessions at sunset after a really hot day are particularly spectacular. Garden parties at friends or our own place. Going on boat excursions in the extraordinary beautiful Stockholm Archipelago. I looooove summer in Sweden. It's magical!

Malin de Koning said...

I just have to add that since we are so far north on our planet the sun sets very late and rises very early. At midsummer, it barely gets dark at all, and only for an hour or so. And then even not completely, it's like a dusk that goes over directly to dawn. That creates an absolutely magic atmosphere. And the Swedish people love to have summer garden parties in the countryside. The further north in Sweden the shorter the nights of course.

Thanks for the wonderful giveaway!

Living in Hawaii, it's kind of like summer all year round :) but growing up in California, it was all about the beach, bar-b-que, picnics, eating outside and swimming in the pool. Love summer!

In years past, my favorite summer ritual was preparing to teach and teaching study abroad courses in Scotland and then doing some independent traveling with my husband. Since I don't teach college courses anymore, summer is one day after another trying my best to stay cool -- yeah, both meanings! ;^)

So bring a little joy into my overheated Texas summer by choosing me for some of your awesome beads!

A couple of thngs. We get our screened in porch ready for cool nights sitting and reading- and maybe a glass of wine. The other, is I am blessed with a neighbor with a beautiful in-ground pool and she opens it Memorial Day and we practically have it to ourselves all summer - heaven.

My favorite summer ritual would have to be the simplest act of sitting outside on our back deck with my husband, a glass of vino in hand, watching our boys play soccer, feeling the love of my big ole doggie beside me...it doesn't get much better!

CraftyHope said...

Favorite summer ritual? Toes in the sand and a beer in the hand! ;) It's as easy as that!

Drinking iced coffee in my back yard, watching my dogs play and chickens chirp!

Memorial Day weekend always marks the beginning of summer for me. I try to get the yards and patio in shape for all the bbqs and outside activities we will have for the summer. I also try to spend some time with the loved ones during this weekend. Hope I got this in in time due to technical difficulties.
