We Really Know How To Party!

"When it rains, it pours!" So, the saying goes and it couldn't be more true. If this weekend was a horse, we'd have to put it down! It was our 19th wedding anniversary on Friday (Thanks so much for wishing us well!) Things started out great... breakfast out, just the two of us, lunch with the kids and a trip to Target! Yah. We know how to party. A movie on DVD and take out! Nothing big. It's just the simple things that make us happy. Then it happened. I moved just right. Nothing traumatic. I wasn't going off a ski jump or anything crazy. Just trying to step over our sleeping dog and I felt that little tink in my back. It didn't even bother me that much. Just a little twinge. Come Saturday I was screaming in agony, unable to walk and wondering where the the hell my epidural was! I've never felt back pain as nauseating as that! So I stayed on my back cursing myself for not being able to pee standing up and freaking out that my orders would not be making themselves! Why do these things happen after office hours? A very kind chiropractor made me her earliest possible appointment. I not out of the woods but she sure did make it possible to walk! Robert couldn't have been anymore supportive and patient. Wrangling kids, cooking meals, making me comfortable. That was a relief in itself. Now it's baby steps back to normal and a heaping handful of Advil!

You poor possum. I can completely sympathise with you. So glad you've got great support because when the back goes everything else goes to hell in a hand basket. Hope you are back to normal soon!

Oh I do feel for you! A few years ago my husband gave me a massage and pressed too hard down on my back. All seemed fine until the next afternoon I was in alot of pain and left work early. The pain was so bad I coudnt move or turn in the bed. I was out of work for a week, and had a shot and pills from the Doc. I do feel for you. One little thing can really cause alot of pain! Oh that just sucks and it is always the little things that manage to cause the most pain. A few years ago I was out of work for two weeks and on pain pills for two months because I threw my back out sneezing.

That happened to me once. Just a little tink. And then the worst pain I had ever felt in my back. I couldn't walk. I had signed up for college classes and my mother went for me the first day and sat in those tiny chairs.
It went away but I still know where it is and never found out what it was either. Nothing showed on x-rays!
Poor Gaea!

Oh, my back spasmed just reading this! It happened to me in the shower with the conditioner still in my hair. My husband got me out of the shower (but not the conditioner out of my hair!) and I was flat on my back until Monday when I could see the doctor. Muscle relaxants rule! Hope you're better soon! --SallyA
