They look like...

A flattened pumpkin? Flowers? Pillows? Lanterns?

Sometimes it is hard to put words to a bead. To give it a name. For now I'm thinking "lantern bead" may take the prize but three or four months from now, which has happened before, I may have a light bulb moment and change it. It is my prerogative as a woman, no?

They look like multi colored versions of poke berries to me :) Birds love to eat them and deposit seeds all over my yard and garden… No matter what you call them - they are awesome!!!

Lovely beads! I like the name "lantern beads". I have some beads that are similar in shape and they're called "fluted rondelles" FYI.

They're quite cute! They remind me of melons or maybe pattypan (sp?) squash.
