If you are ever in my neck of the woods....
My neck of the woods is Ojai, California. We grow oranges. We grow avocados. We grow.... artists. Ojai is known as an artist community and about a year ago, a local artist got the gumption to open a shop that showcases local artists. Great idea! Made In Ojai was born! The shop has recently gone through some changes and is now an artist co-op. Each artist pays rent, designs their space, works a shift and is involved! It's amazing what a small group of people can accomplish! With the changes came a new name... so we are now Ojai Artisans and Mercantile! There are some talented folks with amazing work.... So, If you are ever in my neck of the woods....

Congratulations! I just got invited to join a new artists' coop in my little city of Stevens Point called Gallery Q Artists' Cooperative. I just worked my first shift last weekend. I sold about $500 worth of art (none mine, but it is all good karma!), including a painting right off the wall to a woman from TX! I will check out your coop and you can check out mine at www.qartists.com (you will see some of my jewelry scrolling through there). Yeah for selling art!
Enjoy the day!

What a wonderful thing you guys have going on there, so nice to be surrounded by these positive and nurturing influences, and to support one another!
How fun. I have to find out where Ojai is now.
I really have to make the trip out to Ojai some day, it's not like I'm that far away! Hmmm, maybe just not in the summer though, right?!
YAY!
I will check it out soon...
Are you still in Rain's, as well?
I love the vibe Ojai has....walking all around in nature and those cool wooden floored shops off the beaten path, and of course, after the trek, a refreshing scoop of Almond Joy Coconutty Ice Cream at the infamous Ojai Ice Cream Parlour...my mouth's watering just pondering....
Congrats & Woo-Hoo!
Fall, Spring and Winter! It was over 100 yesterday! HOT! Yah! Ice Cream should have been on my to-do list! This is a difficult year in particular for any business venture but we are working hard and making it work as they say! It is quite the adventure!
Erin,
That sound wonderful! I will have to check our your site! I'm on our shops "Web Committee" but we've not gotten far yet!
What an inspired community venue! Very best of luck with it.
