Here is the mermaid necklace in progress. I'm loving the creams and blues! I think brass wire would have been awesome but I didn't have any in the right gauge. Sterling would have been beautiful but was out of the budget. I think when the copper ages and gets a natural patina it will be really beachy looking!

The colors are yummy...very beachy.
What about dabbing a bit of a patina solution on the exposed wire and darkening it? Or you can put it in a bag with some hard boiled egg, then just wash it off. Instant patina! Give it a shot and let us know how it works for you.
Thanks for sharing!
Enjoy the day! Erin

tres beachy!
:)
Thanks! I love the egg dip idea! I could get the kids to play too! They would love to squish a hard boiled egg!
Just a thought ( although I think the copper will be good, esp. with patina) nickel silver. I know... still not as cost effective as copper. But for times when only silver will do...
Excellent idea! Thanks Jenny! I love a good alternative to the expensive!
Love this Gaea, very pretty!
Hi Gaea,
I love your mermaid bead and have one of my very own that I purchased from Marsha Neal Studio at the first time Syracuse venue for the Innovative Bead Show. I have know her for years on JustBeads and cherish her part in my artists beads collection.
